Afternoon/Closing Lead

Do you love kids and enjoy leading a team, solving problems, and making sure everyone ends the day successfully? We're looking for an Afternoon Lead Teacher and Closing Supervisor to help lead our afternoon team and finish each day strong.

This role is equal parts leader, cheerleader, problem-solver, and role model. Think Miss Frizzle meets dependable team captain: someone who brings the sunshine, keeps things organized, supports staff, and creates a positive experience for children, families, and teammates.

What you'll do

• Support and lead afternoon staff across classrooms.
• Keep classrooms in ratio and maintain high standards of care through the afternoon.
• Assist with coverage, transitions, breaks, and end-of-day routines.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Model Sunshine Academy expectations and culture.
• Communicate important updates to leadership and staff.
• Lead closing procedures and make sure the building is secure and ready for the next day.
